Divination: superstition or knowledge?

Our world is the house in which our ancestors lived, we live, our children will live …
However, considering the cultural heritage of the ancestors, we are far from always able to understand the true causes of the emergence of ancient rites, their roots, meaning, and sometimes do not understand the essence of the patterns that manifest themselves in them. Sometimes it is easy to understand them. More often – centuries pass, and we are marking time, stretching our hands helplessly about the toga that we have encountered.
What, for example, are tales that our ancestors passed on reverently to each other from generation to generation. What is their purpose? Were they compiled for fun or kept in memory as an oral record of what happened and experienced, seen and known, the list of characteristics of the Unknown?
In fairy tales there are always stories about brownies. We laughed at the storytellers, reproached them for ignorance, indulgently shook their heads, passing by these testimonies, considering them to be fiction and fantasy of frightened storytellers.
Forgive us our ancestors, now we know that they were right – a poltergeist and shows us their incomprehensible things. And what, tell me, do the positions of some current scientists differ from the explanations of our illiterate ancestors, that this is a trick of the brownie ?!
Ironically, we smiled, listening to the stories of old women about the grandmothers, started talking blood, hernia, teeth, treated with “laying on of hands”. Now the records of all these “nonsense” lay on the desks of scientists. It is very likely that their study will lead to a deeper understanding of the real, perhaps even to the discovery of new, previously unknown laws and laws.
It is possible that much more, which has not yet attracted our attention, will be just as promising and interesting, will begin to be studied and used. For example, fortune telling, which we are accustomed to be considered superstition and prejudice. Specify that, guessing, a person tried to get with the help of some external material means (which we will further call accessories) information about the present, remote from a person at a distance greater than his visual or auditory capabilities, or about the future. It is about the possibility and effectiveness of the use of various methods of divination, we will talk further.
Let not frighten you frivolous sense of the word “fortune telling”. It is undoubtedly related to the procedure for obtaining information, being, so to speak, its “special case.” Therefore, from now on, we will speak about various methods of obtaining information through the use of various accessories, including the Mine of Mines, the pendulum-researcher, the biolocation frame, etc.
Interestingly, the use of accessories is very effective, as if raising the corresponding potencies of the person using them. Through accessories, a person gets unhindered access to a truly unlimited source of information, which we conditionally call the Source of Mnemosyne, the goddess patroness of the spiritual life and memory of people. By the way, this name is also convenient because it is difficult to localize the location of this source in space, and the gods, as you know, are omnipresent …
